We are looking for fully qualified instructors to join our growing academy. We hand-pick all instructors after a rigorous recruitment process that includes verification of qualifications and experience, police clearance and other due diligence checks.

How To Become An Instructor

Register to become a teacher

You have to to fill out this form

You must hold a valid Commercial Pilot Licence or higher with a valid Instructor Rating. Your licence must not have any endorsement of safety or operational procedures violations.

You must also be 21 years of age and above and not exceed 55 years of age. A Class I medical certificate is a requirement. All instructors must have an excellent command of spoken and written English. Those with an EASA and/or FAA pilot licence will have an added advantage.

The Malawi Civil Aviation Authority will require that you take air law and operational procedures exams before being awarded an endorsement to instruct with Eastrise Aviation. We will facilitate the process and pay the appropriate fees on behalf of the successful candidate.
Flight instructors will work up to 6 days a week or less. We strictly adhere to crew time limitations. All instructors undergo mandatory rest periods as required by law.

Instructors who have exceeded their crew limitations will be reassigned to ground instruction until the time they can legally resume flight training duties.
