Welcome to the Eastrise Aviation online flight school! We have developed this online course to help students to prepare for flight training exercises that cover the PPL course. This course is not a substitute for actual flight training: it rather helps you the student to watch video resources, read related texts and most importantly, prepare for your upcoming flight lesson. This is NOT an online ground school course. We therefore expect that students who enrol in this course have either completed their ground school or are on track to completion. Our online PPL ground school is available on this link.
The Malawi Aviation (Personnel Licencing) Regulations of 2013 empower and mandate approved training organisations (ATOs) to confer certificates of completion to successful students after they complete a particular course. You will accordingly be awarded a certificate of completion in line with the Act. Please note that you will still be required to take a knowledge test (a checkride) with a designated pilot examiner (DPE) who will either be a staff of the Malawi Directorate of Civil Aviation — the civil aviation authority of Malawi or a civilian DPE nominated by the DCA. The DPE will recommend you to the DCA who will issue a pilot licence upon payment of the prescribed fee.
